I live at the end of the road in northeastern North America, literally.  I live here with my two sons, Daniel(18) and David(17) and Rosie.  It is beautiful here filled with birds and wildlife.  I regularly have bears, foxes, wolves, moose wondering around this place.  I am on long sandy beach over looking Lake Melville and the Mealie Mountains to the south east. It is world of glorious sunrises. 
In spite of the beauty and quiet here, it is a paradox when put in contrast with the immense human suffering that is present. 
I live a quixotic life in a way, 'not as it is, but as it should be.'  I am no longer interested in trying to fix old ailments, but I often wonder what shift in perception it takes to see things anew.  It seems that both the hardest and the easiest thing to do in the world is to change our mind.  
I love to canoe, garden, cross country ski.
I work in the emergency department in Happy Valley.
I write.
